In
this group exhibition titled, PEEK the work of six artists currently enrolled in their first year of the Master of Fine Arts program at the School of Visual Arts, University of Windsor are presented. This exhibition provides a sneak peek into the work and practice of these artists;
Patricia Coates, Nicolas de Cosson, Michael DiRisio, Tommy Mayberry, Bruce Thompson, and Owen Eric Wood.

These artists have been practicing, exhibiting as well as lecturing on a national level, and for some internationally. A range of current issues and themes are explored within their varied practices, some of these include; the environment, gender issues, queer theory, identity, and relationships. Questions and discourse that are prompted through this presentation - How are we socially engaging and interacting with one another and our environment (physically and virtually), and how are we not? What effect and influence does the Internet, technology and popular culture have on our perceptions/constructions of oneself and others?

PEEK is about looking, really seeing, and at the same time is about reflection. A range of mediums, photography, drawing, painting, performance and video are explored in this one exhibit that invites the viewer to observe, and interact. These artists are viscerally responding, adapting and representing the environments that surrounds them; they invite you to do the same.

This exhibition opens on Saturday March 17 and runs until April 28, 2012. The opening reception will take place on Saturday March 17 from 1 - 4pm in the afternoon, the artists will be in attendance.
